In this article we will look at the one of the best ways to make gold in World of Warcraft, through the auction house. Many players making hundreds of gold a day are in fact making most of their time and money at the auction house, and if you are not using the auction house when you play WoW, you are missing out on a lot. Here's why:
Profiting off the auction house is now easier than ever!
Mostly, this is because of the auctioneer that has now been released, which has made it much easier to make gold from the auction house. It allows you to analyze and track data, which you can then use to buy and sell items off other players.
The first thing you need to do before anything else with the auction house is get yourself a mule. This is crucial in order to make gold from the auction house. Quite simply, a mule is a character you leave at the auction house that lists your items to buy and sell. This can be a very low level character that you can leave in the main city.
The motto here is just like the real life stock market: buy low, sell high. Naturally, if an item has very low supply, then it will be heavily in demand (the reverse is also true, where common items go for low prices). If you have a rare item then you may be able to sell it for a much higher price than what you brought it for.
Once you have a mule, the way to look for these low supply items is to start scanning the auction house. You'll then get a fairly large database of profitable items, and you'll be able to see what price they usually sell for on your server.
When you have scanned for items, you can then use the "Bottom Scanner" that you get with the auctioneer. The Bottom Scanner will scan for auction house for items that are available for very low prices that you can then sell for much higher prices.
By the way, when you list items on the auction house, you want them to sell the first time you list the auction. If they don't sell the first time, then they may not be in demand and it is probably not worth relisting the auction.
When you are a low level, you should stick to items that have no or very little listing fee's. These are commonly known as enchanting supplies. When you have played the game for a while, you can move on to higher level items.
